EVERGREEN, AL — Reid State Community College freshman standout Mia White has been named to the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) All-Conference Second Team for the 2025-2026 women’s basketball season. The postseason honors, announced Friday by the conference office, recognize White as one of the premier playmakers in the state.
A 5'2” guard from Frankville, Ala., White made an immediate impact in her debut collegiate season. Known for her elite court vision and relentless defensive pressure, she emerged as a cornerstone of the Lions' backcourt. Her selection to the Second Team highlights a season defined by agility and leadership, qualities she brought to Reid State from a decorated multi-sport career at Washington County High School.
"Mia is the definition of a high-energy player," said Coach Willie White. "Her ability to see the floor and anticipate plays is rare for a freshman. This honor is a testament to her work ethic and the discipline she brings to the court every single day."
White’s statistical contributions were vital for the Lions this year. In key conference matchups, she consistently stuffed the stat sheet, including a standout performance against Enterprise State where she notched 26 points, going 11-25 from the field and 2-8 from the three-point line. She finished the season averaging 13.2 points per game with a 24.7% shooting percentage from three and 78.8% from the free-throw line. Throughout the season, she proved to be a defensive menace, leading the team with 41 steals and many disruptive deflections.
Off the court, the Business major maintains the same level of excellence. A balanced student-athlete, White draws inspiration from basketball icon Candace Parker and balances her rigorous training schedule with a passion for cooking.
As a freshman, White’s recognition by the ACCC sets a high bar for her future in Evergreen. The Lions' coaching staff and fans alike are eager to see how she continues to develop as a leader in the conference.
