Reid State Community College Partners With Influxer On NIL Opportunities

Reid State Community College announced today it has aligned with Influxer to be the first official to collaborate with Lions Athletics in the name, image and likeness space.

Influxer was founded in Dallas, Texas in 2022 with the goal of connecting student-athletes to the resources they needed to thrive in the NIL market. The company works with more than 44,000 student-athletes across more than 400 universities around the country, offering student-athletes the chance to sell personalized merchandise with their school's officially licensed branding.

In addition to creating a personal store space for each student-athlete, Influxer is also committed to providing student-athletes with the education required to succeed in this new environment. Influxer staff are available for free one-on-one coaching on a variety of topics from social media marketing to taxes to reading contracts. The company also offers paid internships to student-athletes on most of their partner campuses to assist in marketing, graphic design, business and other facets of the company.

"Influxer is excited to work with Reid State because (Athletics Director) Brac Brady and the administration understand not only the immediate benefits of working with us, but also the long-term resources for their student-athletes," Influxer Vice President Keith Miller said. "NIL is not simply transactional, but an opportunity that Influxer wants to further into the development process for their student-athletes."

Once a Reid State student-athlete has opted into the store, Lions fans will be able to find the new apparel at the official Reid State Influxer store as well as the student's own personalized site. All designs are approved by the college and are available in every student-athlete's own store in the same sport. The merchandise list includes hats, shirts, sweatshirts, jerseys, tumblers and more, with new designs and products being rolled out throughout the year.

"We are excited to partner with Influxer to give Reid State student-athletes an entry point into the NIL space," said Athletic Director Brac Brady. "Current student-athletes and future recruits will know they have access to the resources that Influxer provides, so that they can build and grow their personal brand. Partnerships such as this allow Reid State to provide a first-class experience to our student-athletes while they are working hard in the classroom and in competition."
