Athletes, Supporters and Volunteers of Reid State Technical College Athletics Recognized During Annual Banquet

(EVERGREEN, Ala.) — Reid State Technical College recognized student athletes, as well as, athletic supporters and volunteers during their annual banquet held on Monday, April 28.  Among those recognized were Tristan Watson, President's Athlete of the Year Award, Derrick Lett, Volunteer of the Year, Caroll Byrd-Lymon, Reid State Faculty/Staff Supporter of the Year and PCI Gaming Authority/Wind Creek Hospitality, Donor of the Year.

"Tonight, we celebrate more than just athletic achievements—we honor discipline, determination, and the Lion pride that each of you carries on and off the field," stated Dr. Coretta Boykin, President, Reid State Technical College. "To our students, you've shown what it means to balance academics and athletics with integrity. To our coaches, your guidance builds not just players, but leaders. And to our parents and supporters, thank you for being the foundation behind every success. Together, we are shaping champions in every sense of the word. Go Lions!"

While the banquet marks the second year of participation for the Lion's Basketball program, all other sports were celebrating the successful completion of their first year.

"Thank you to the student athletes for their hard work and dedication to the program," stated Brac Brady, Reid State Athletic Director. "I also want to thank the volunteers, the faculty and staff, and the donors that made this athletic season a possibility."
